11 feared dead in Nigeria explosion

There was an explosion at a popular market in Nigeria's capital Abuja on Friday evening, Nigeria's Channels television station reported.

The explosion was at Mammy market, beside the Sani Abacha barracks, a busy area where people congregate to eat and shop, the station said. Channels reported 11 people were feared dead. (Reuters)
