MK Chaim Oron intends to resign from the Knesset, apparently before the end of the current term. "It's too early to speak about a date, I'm not talking about days or weeks, but after 23 years I think it's enough," he told Ynet.
Former MK Zahava Gal-On will replace him after his departure. According to Oron, one of the reasons for his resignation is to allow her to return to the Knesset. He also noted that he intends to stay on as Meretz chairman. "It's too early to discuss an inheritance battle," he said. (Roni Sofer)
