Senior functionaries' salary increase approved
The Knesset's Finance Committee Monday approved a 4-7.5% salary update for 2,000 senior functionaries including the president and the prime minister, both past and present.
The president's salary will be increased from NIS 47,471 ($13,379) a month to NIS 49,233 ($13,876) a month, the prime minister's salary will be increased from NIS 41,987 ($11,833) a month to NIS 44,882 ($12,649) a month while Knesset Members' salaries will be increased from NIS 33,463 ($9,431) a month to NIS 34,665 ($9,770) a month.
