Nachman Shai invites Kadima members to meeting with Abbas
Knesset Member Nachman Shai (Kadima) summoned his party colleagues to a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday. Senior party members expressed resentment over the planned meeting and at this time it is unknown how many Kadima members will take part.
Shai clarified that the inivitation came through an Israeli intermediary and that his trip was in no way an attempt to pressure Netanyahu. "We are pressuring him either way so a meeting with Abbas isn't needed in order to do so," he said. (Roni Sofer)
