President Shimon Peres apologized to his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev over the cancellation of his visit to Israel following a strike imposed by Foreign Ministry employees.
"I just want you to know that there was a great expectation in Israel ahead of your visit; it is not an ordinary visit by a head of state and there is no doubt that you and your country can contribute greatly to the peace process in the Middle East," said Peres. (Ronen Medzini)
