Knesset committee to monitor activities of leftist organizations

The Knesset has approved the foundation of a parliamentary committee that will look into the doings of leftist organizations that criticize the activity of IDF soldiers in the Palestinian territories. The initiative, which was proposed by MK Faina Kirshenbaum, was approved by a majority of 47 MKs, while 16 voted against her.

MK Ahmad Tibi responded to the decision by saying that it is "a black day for the Knesset." (Roni Sofer)
