Barak appoints new IDF spokesman
It was announced Wednesday that Colonel Lior Lotan (Res.) will be appointed to the role of IDF spokesman. By appointing Lotan as IDF spokesman, Defense Minister Ehud Barak has confirmed the recommendation of designated Chief of Staff Yoav Galant.
Lotan, who has in the past served as the head of the department of missing and captive soldiers, will receive a promotion to brigadier general; he will be replacing Brigadier General Avi Benayahu. (Hanan Greenberg)
