WikiLeaks: Israelis asked US companies for bribes at Gaza crossing

American companies claim that Israeli officials demanded to be paid off for allowing them to bring goods into Gaza through the Karni crossing, a classified document released by WikiLeaks revealed.

According to the document the companies stated that they had to wait three to four months to transfer 34 shipments of goods, worth $1.9 million, into the Gaza Strip. They were asked by the checkpoint workers to pay 'special commissions' that were 75 times higher than the normal feel. (Ynet)
