Palestinians suspected of cutting down trees from private orchard

A Palestinian man is suspected of cutting down about 30 duman of trees in a private orchard located in the central Israeli Kfar Netter. It appears he hired five other residents of the Palestinian territories and one Israeli citizen to cut down the trees.

The orchard owner discovered the theft when he heard suspicious noises and went to investigate. The Palestinian man denied stealing the trees, claiming he signed a contract with the orchard owner. The Magistrate's Court in Kfar Saba extended his detention by five days. (Raanan Ben-Tzur)
