Barghouti: Peace process dead, attempts to revive it 'worthless'
Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti, jailed in Israel for his part in the killing of Israelis, said the Palestinian issue must be transferred to the UN and the Security Council, and UN recognition of a Palestinian state must be sought.
In a declaration from prison, Barghouti said the peace process is dead, and attempts to revive it are artificial and worthless, adding, "Israel has not made a strategic decision in favor of peace." (Roee Nahmias)
