US releases Algerian prisoner from Guantanamo
The US military says it has sent home a Guantanamo prisoner whose release was ordered by a court.
Algerian native Saiid Farhi had been held without charge at the US base in Cuba for nearly nine years. The Department of Defense announced his release Thursday and said it came after a comprehensive review of his case. (AP)
