Romney on trip to Afghanistan, Middle East

Past and likely future Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is on a fact-finding trip to Afghanistan and the Middle East. The former Massachusetts governor arrived Sunday in Kabul for a meeting with Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai.

Senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom says Romney will also "train Afghans and share with local leaders his views on issues of leadership, public service, economic opportunity and democratic participation." He is then proceeding to Israel to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jordan to meet with King Abdullah II. (AP)
