Judge Rafi Carmel of the Jerusalem District Court rejected Rachel Raz-Risby's request to drop the charges pressed against her. Raz-Risby, Ehud Olmert's former coordinator of external matters, claimed that the police promised her that she will not be prosecuted, which caused her to reveal information that could be used against her in court. Carmel asserted that it is impossible to determine Raz-Risby's cooperation with the police and the promises that she was given.
However, Carmel accepted the claim of Raz-Risby's lawyer regarding flaws in the charge sheet, and instructed the prosecutor to clarify some of the accusations. (Aviad Glickman)
