MK Tibi: Arabs wish to work but are driven away
Chairing a parliamentary commission of inquiry examining the absorption of Arab workers in the public service, Knesset Member Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) claimed Monday that minorities are driven away from the public and private sectors.
Finance Minister Yuval Steinmetz who was taking part in the committee meeting, agreed with MK Tibi and declared: "I have an important task – to integrate Arabs and haredim not only in the work force but in the economy as well. (Zvi Lavi)
