French envoy carrying 'message from Damascus' met with PM

French President Nicolas Sarkozy's Middle East envoy arrived in Israel on Monday to meet with State leaders. The envoy met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Minister Dan Meridor.

An Israeli official said the envoy had a message from Damascus, but clarified that "unfortunately there isn't any drama so far and no encouraging news about negotiations." (Attila Somfalvi)
