State Comptroller: IDF should appoint woman to major-general rank
State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss called on the IDF during a Knesset discussion to appoint a woman to a major-general rank. He praised the IDF for implementing the recommendations in a report dealing with the appointment of senior officers, but noted that certain criticism was not addressed.
During the meeting MK Yoel Hasson, who heads the State Control Committee, criticized Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who did not attend the discussion. (Roni Sofer)
