Barak says will not take part in 'political shows'

Defense Minister Ehud Barak addressed criticism leveled at him over his absence from a Knesset State Control Committee meeting discussing senior appointments in the IDF.

"The defense minister announced several weeks ago he is willing to attend any debate by Knesset committees he is invited to," a statement issued by Barak's office noted. However, the statement added that "Barak will not attend media shows directed by political elements." (Roni Sofer)
