Turkel committee approves next Israel Police chief appointment

The Committee on the appointment of senior officials headed by Jacob Turkel decided on Wednesday that there is no just cause preventing Maj.-Gen. Yohanan Danino from becoming the next Israel Police chief.

The approval was given to Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch and will be submitted, along with the proposal, to the government for final approval on Sunday. ( Attila Somfalvi)
