Ariel Sharon's son Gilad joins Kadima

Gilad Sharon, the son of former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, has joined Kadima, though he has not yet decided whether to compete for a Knesset seat.

Sharon (45) had not been a member of Kadima, the party set up by his father. During recent years he has kept away from politics, preferring instead to concentrate on managing Sycamore Ranch, the family farm. (Attila Somfalvi)
