Shas: Yisrael Beiteinu trampling IDF for political gain
The Shas party slammed Yisrael's Beiteinu's plan to continue advancing the military conversion bill in spite of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef's decision to legitimize conversions performed in the Israel Defense Forces.
A Shas official accused Yisael Beiteinu of "seeking to trample the people of Israel and the IDF for a political gain." Knesset Member David Rotem, who initiated the bill, said in response that Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar has failed to solve the problem. (Kobi Nahshoni)
