An interim statement by the committee in charge of inspecting the implementation of the Tal Law concluded that the law is not fulfilling its destiny, and called to enforce a mandatory IDF service or a meaningful civil service on all citizens.
The committee recommended recruiting at least a third of the Haredi cycles to a meaning full and full IDF service by 2015, while another third will contribute to society by joining the civil service. (Kobi Nahshoni)
