Construction at Shepherd Hotel plot delayed due to residents' appeal

The Interior Ministry's district appeal committee issued an injunction against the construction at the Shepherd Hotel plot in east Jerusalem.

The committee decided to delay the construction until after a Wednesday hearing on an appeal filed by residents of Sheikh Jarrah and the Council of Waqf and Muslim Affairs in Israel. The land was purchased by Jewish investors that demolished the hotel in order to build a Jewish housing complex. (Yair Altman)
