District Court: Temporary halt of work at Bedouin village

The Beersheba District Court issued a temporary injunction to stop all work by the Israel Land Administration near the Bedouin village of al-Arakib, in the Negev. The request was submitted by a local Bedouin tribe which said the ILA people began preparing the land for planting, which they claim belongs to the tribe.

The court ruled that because they fear the State will change the existing reality of the land in question, all work must be stopped temporarily. Another discussion on the issue is planned for Sunday. (Ilana Curiel)
