Tunisian oposition leader resigns from cabinet

Tunisian opposition leader Mustafa Ben Jaafar has resigned from a national unity government in protest over the presence of ministers from the party of former ruler Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, his party said on Tuesday.

"He has resigned in protest over these elements from the ruling party," senior party member Hedi Redaoui told Reuters. Ben Jaafar had been named as health minister. (Reuters)
