Prosecution demands to demote soldiers involved in Naalin shooting

The prosecution has petitioned the court to sentence Lieutenant Colonel Omri Burberg to time in prison and lower his rank for his involvement in the Naalin shooting. A Palestinain detainee was shot in the leg during the incident. The court convicted Burberg for an "attempt on the life of detainee who did not pose a threat."
The prosecution asked the court to demote the soldier who shot the detainee, Staff Sergeant Leonardo Corea, to the rank of private. They also stated that the prison sentence can be converted to military labor. (Hanan Greenberg)
