Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz announced that 95 new intersections will be added to the roads of Israel by 2016. Katz made the announcement while presenting the National Roads Company's multi-year construction plan for Israel's road system. He added that the project will allow for a smooth, traffic light-free ride from the Galilee region to the Negev.
The plan is estimated to cost NIS 27 billion, NIS 1.7 billion of which will be invested in improving road safety. (Ynet)
