Gov't approves appointment of new ministers

The government unanimously approved the appointments of Matan Vilnai, Orit Noked and Shalom Simhon, all from the Independence faction, to minister positions. Vilnai will serve as the minister in charge of home front defense, Noked was appointed as agriculture minister and Simhon will head the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry as well as the Minority Affairs Ministry. In addition, Communication Minister Moshe Kahlon will serve as temporary minister of social affairs. (Attila Somfalvi)
