Activists petition court against inquiry into leftist movement

Four human rights activists have filed a petition with the High Court of Justice against the Knesset and the Attorney General, in a demand to call off the law proposal that calls for the establishment of a parliamentary committee that would investigate leftists organizations in Israel.

"The voice of the movement is heard when Israel Beitenu and other parties initiate an attack on the democratic values in Israel, and cause immeasurable damage to its image as a democratic state," the petition read. (Aviad Glickman)
