Taliban reject report of leader's hospitalization

None

A Taliban spokesman has rejected a report that the group's one-eyed leader was treated for a heart attack in a Pakistani hospital with the help of that country's spy agency.

Zabiullah Mujahid says in a statement that the report from a private intelligence-gathering company was unfounded. He calls the story "more propaganda, part of the rumor-war launched by the enemy." He says Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar has no heart issues. (AP)
