Ministerial Committee approves bill against student discrimination

The Ministerial Committee on Legislative Affairs approved a bill that forbids educational institutions to discriminate applicants based on their country of origin.
The bill, initiated by Member of Knesset Alex Miller (Yisrael Beiteinu), stated that "In Israel there is a significant number of olim students, which must be protected against discrimination based on their or their parents' origin." (Tomer Velmer)
