Iraqi police and hospital officials say a new bombing attack on Shiite pilgrims has killed six people and wounded at least 13 on the outskirts of a holy city.
Authorities said the Monday morning blast took place at a parking lot filled with buses that carried pilgrims to Karbala. The city is 55 miles (90 kilometers) south of Baghdad and is the site of annual religious rituals that mark the 7th century death of one of the Shiite sect's most revered figures. (AP)
