By a bare: Likud faction will support leftist funding inquiry

The Likud faction announced it will support the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry commission into the funding of leftist organizations, following a heated debate.

Ministers Dan Meridor and Benny Begin joined by MK Michael Eitan and Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin criticized the idea, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Minister Affairs Moshe Ya'alon and Knesset Members Tzipi Hotovely, Zeev Elkin, Danny Danon and Miri Regev were in favor. Eventually the faction reached a decision to support the suggestion. (Attila Somfalvi)
