Assad met Iranian foreign minister to discuss Lebanon crisis

Syrian President Bashar Assad met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to discuss the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, IRNA said. According to the report, the two met in Halab and stressed the need for unity among sections in Lebanon and for resolution of issues by the people.

Salehi arrived in Syria on Sunday and has already met with Palestinian terror organization leaders, including Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal. (Dudi Cohen)
