Shaath: US will lose credibility if it vetoes Israel condemnation

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' senior advisor, Nabil Shaath, says that if the US vetoes a UN Security Council condemnation of Israel's settlement construction, "it will lose what is left of its credibility as a mediator in the Middle East peace process."
According to Shaath, the Palestinians will continue to advance an anti-Israel resolution "whether the Americans like it or not". (AFP)
