Belfast bomb threat drives 50 families from homes

Police in Northern Ireland say that nearly 50 families have been evacuated from homes in north Belfast following a dissident republican threat.

Chief Superintendent Mark Hamilton said Wednesday that police had received several calls overnight warning of a bomb, including one call suggesting that the bomb had become unstable. Police say army experts were checking out a possible improvised device near a police station. (AP)
