Abbas calls Peres after wife's death
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called President Shimon Peres in order to extend his condolences for the death of his wife, Sonya.
Peres told Abbas he appreciates his "strong stance against attempts at provocation and de-legitimization of a Palestinian state and the peace process". Abbas replied that leaders must guard against attempts to "murder" the peace process. (Ronen Medzini)
