Travel advisory to West African countries updated
The Counter-Terrorism Bureau has updated its travel advisory to North African countries south of the Western Sahara.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office noted that new information suggests that the The Al-Qaeda Organization in the Islamic Maghreb is planning to carry out terrorist attacks and abductions in Mali, Mauritania, the Ivory Coast, Togo, Burkina Faso, east Senegal and northern Nigeria.
