Man arrested for smuggling gold bars from PA into Israel
A 39-year-old Taibe resident was arrested while attempting to smuggle 12 gold bars, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, from the Palestinian Authority into Israel. He was caught at checkpoint 109 near Tulkarem by Border Guard officers, who found the gold hidden under the rugs in his car. (Raanan Ben-Tzur)
