Al-Jazeera: Office closure - attempt to silence Egyptians

The Al-Jazeera network claimed Sunday that the closure of its offices in Egypt is "an attempt to silence the Egyptian people".

Earlier, the Egyptian communications minister announced that all of the Qatari network's broadcasts were banned and that its journalists' press cards were confiscated. (AFP)
