Cypress: Recognition of Palestinian state from '88 still valid
The Cypress government has made an official statement addressing reports that it has recognized a Palestinian state. According to the statement, the president of Cypress told PA President Mahmoud Abbas that the nation's recognition of a Palestinian state, which was declared in 1988, is still valid.
It was also stated that Cypress holds the same stance on the borders of a Palestinian state as the European Union, and will not recognize a change in the borders unless it is agreed upon by both sides. (Ronen Medzini)
