Report: Mubarak appoints Suleiman's replacement
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Monday named a new leader of intelligence, according to a state-backed news agency.
General Murad Mowafi, former governor of north Sinai and head of services information will replace Omar Suleiman, who was promoted to the position of vice-president, which was abolished 30 years ago, al-Ahram reported. (AFP)
