Merkel in Israel: We have similar values

Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel said on Monday during a special government meeting in Israel: "We have similar values, which make it very easy for us to cooperate." She mentioned that during meetings leld between Israel and German ministers, the two sides discussed issues of development, cooperation and promotion of mutual interests between the two countries.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "We are allies and we have a strong will to strengthen our relationship and cooperation, as well as peace and security in our area. It's a very tumultuous time and we wish to promote stability." (Ronen Medzini)
