MKs okay bill requiring associations to report foreign funding
The Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee has approved for a second and third reading a bill requiring associations to report funding from foreign countries. According to the proposal, the fine for violating the law will total NIS 30,000.
The bill's initiator, Knesset Member Zeev Elkin, said the proposals "is aimed at protecting Israel's citizens from foreign influence which does not match national needs and interests." (Ynet)
