Defense Minister Ehud Barak responded to the criticism directed at him by the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee following the decision to cancel the appointment of Major-General Yoav Galant as Israel Defense Forces chief of staff.
"The defense minister recommends that some of the members practice restraint and avoid being swept to incitement," Barak's office said in a statement, adding that the defense minister was ready to meet with the committee members early next week to discuss any developments in the issue.
