Netanyahu hopes regional change will restart peace talks

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset plenum he hopes Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas "will see the changes occurring in the region as a chance to hold direct negotiations with Israel without preconditions".
In light of the uprising in Egypt, he said, "no one can guarantee the survival of any regime in the Middle East". Netanyahu said he would "take steps to encourage Palestinian development and growth". (Attila Somfalvi)
