Barak: Ethical matters warranted decision to end Ashkenazi's term
Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that he is "convinced that he is acting correctly" by not extending current IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi's term. Barak claimed in television interviews that ethical and professional consideration went into the decision, but did not elaborate.
