Legal sources irked by Naveh appointment without Turkel approval
Legal experts criticized a decision by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak to appoint Major-General Yair Naveh to the position of acting IDF chief without first obtaining the approval of the Turkel committee.
"The temporary appointment of Naveh is actually a permanent appointment, even if it is for a short time. This type of appointment must also undergo rigorous investigation," one source said. (Aviad Glickman)
