Mubarak warns of threat of Muslim Brotherhood

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said on Thursday that if he stepped down now, the banned Islamist Muslim Brotherhood would take power, the US television network ABC reported.

ABC's Christiane Amanpour, who interviewed Mubarak at his presidential palace, said Mubarak had told her there would be chaos if he resigned now. (Reuters)
