France to launch new search for Air France crash
French officials say preparations for a new attempt to locate the remains of the Air France jet that crashed into the mid-Atlantic two years ago will get under way this month.
France's transport ministry says the new search will use specialized submarines and underwater robots to search an area of about 3,900 square miles (10,000 square kilometers) to look for wreckage of flight 447, which crashed flying from Rio de Janeiro to Paris in June 2009, killing all 228 people aboard.
