1 million opposition activists rally in Cairo, Alexandria

Some 1 million opposition supporters are rallying across the cities of Cairo and Alexandria in protest of President Hosni Mubarak's regime, in what has been dubbed "the day of departure".

According to the al-Jazeera network, Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa joined the protestors at Cairo's Tahrir Square. (Elior Levy)
